10 amazing places to take pictures in New York City – part 2

Last week, I posted here on the blog 10 places to take photos in New York and have incredible memories of your trip. But, you know: New York is a gigantic city and there are several other places that offer amazing photos. So, there are 10 more spots for you to register your time in the city!

Governors Island – this island is really next to Manhattan. The place is beautiful and offer some amazing views to Manhattan’s skyline, New Jersey, Hudson River, Brooklyn Bridge and Statue of Liberty. Last year, they opened a new area: The Hills. I can assure: you will take amazing pictures from there. Click here and check out more details about The Hills.

Carl Schurz Park – this beautiful park is located in the Upper East Side and has an amazing view to East River. You can see  Randalls Island,  Roosevelt Island and the Queensboro Bridge. SCheck out more pictures.

Central Park – it’s very likely that Central Park is already on your trip itineraty. But I’ll leave my tip: for me, one of the most iconic and classic views of the park is the one that shows The San Remo building, the one with two towers. You will see this building from many places of the park, but I love seeing it from the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir, the lake that is located in the northern of the park.

Williamsburg – besides being one of New York’s coolest neighborhoods, Williamsburg, which is in Brooklyn, also has a beautiful view of Manhattan in East River State Park. The tip is to go there on Saturdays to enjoy the Smorgasburg, a food fair that runs from April to November. To get there, use the L line.

Top to Bottom – is a public mural located in the south of the Queensboro Bridge in Long Island City, in addition to being a creative lab community. 50 local and also international artists transformed the place with vibrant colors and creativity. The coolest part is that the street art also takes the rooftop  – and needless to say the view is spectacular, right? Check out more details.

Red Hook – to the southwest of Carroll Gardens, beyond the BQE, the formerly rough-and-tumble industrial locale of Red Hook remains a secluded neighborhood, thanks to the lack of subway stops, which makes it perfect for a day out exploring. It is not a touristic explored area, which is a pity, because there are a lot of things to do. The view from there is very beautiful. Check out details about the Water Taxi to get there and also some posts about what to do in the area.

Stone Street -Stone Street is full of bars and pubs, and during the summer, people often sit at the tables on the street for a drink or beer. Some say it was the first paved street in NYC. In addition, the architecture of the buildings makes the street a super charming place! Check out more details about the area.

The Shops at Columbus Circle –  this charming mall is located at Columbus Circle, at 59th Street and Broadway. The mall itself maybe is not the best destination for shopping, but the view from the 2nd floor is a classic and deserves a picture!

Rooftop do Met -few people know, but in addition to the amazing collection of art works, sculptures and other artifacts, the Metropilitan Museum of Art has a seasonal rooftop – which is only open during the warm months. Every season, the rooftop has some exhibition. Besides that, the rooftop has a good open area with beautiful views of Central Park and also a bar serving drinks. A delight! Remember that the ticket to the Met is suggested and you can pay whatever you want. CCheck out more things to do in the summer.
